Hi, I’m Rachael, a trans woman based in Brighton and the person behind Shapeshifter.

I started this shop after beginning my transition. I wanted to create something that brings a bit of joy, especially when things feel quite heavy. For me, humour and self expression go a long way. A good t-shirt can be more than just something you wear, it can say something, or simply make someone smile.

Shapeshifter is a small, independent project centred around queer joy, playful ideas, and a slightly cheeky sense of humour. Everything is made with the intention of feeling easy, honest, and a bit fun.

I’m also really inspired by queer podcasts and comedy. People like Suzi Ruffell have shaped the kind of humour I love, open, real, and not taking itself too seriously.

It’s still early days and I’m building this slowly, adding new designs and figuring things out as I go. Every order genuinely means a lot and helps me keep creating.
